Choma Chat

A big welcome back/home to Dr. and Mrs Jain. Long standing residents will remember his good doctoring back in the eighties.  Now he and Mrs. Jain are back at the MARS/Railway Clinic in Choma.  Subscription is two hundred dollars a year and there are a number of facilities and services available.   We do hope that as many people

as possible will join the scheme, for more details contact Sandy Danckwerts 032 20634 or Caroline Green 032 20623.

A number of the artists in  our KalCho Art Group will be exhibiting at the Musikili Art Exhibition at the Lusaka Museum on 10th October.  It is my understanding that newcomers are welcome to join the group.

The David Shepherd Camp at Itezhi Tezhi which The Choma/Kalomo Community ran under the then auspices of the local branch of the Wildlife Society is about to re-open.  It is a lovely camp with spectacular views over the Lake, fishing can be good either in the Lake or in the river below the wall.

We wonder if we will have early rains, it is unseasonably hot. Meantime, the long term forecast does not look good for our area, little improvement on last year, let's hope they are all wrong!!
