‘The place where professionals meet’ Engineers is a safe reliable place to go when you’re in town and you want a peaceful place to have lunch, or you want to take that visiting ‘consultant’ out for a few drinks to discuss his/her fees. Don’t worry there aren’t only ‘professionals’ here; rumour has it that vagabonds and VSO volunteers frequent this place as well. This place is pumping on a Jeff Lloyd quiz night (the third Wednesday of every month) and if you’re looking for somewhere to have some food or booze during the week then Engineers is perfect. I suspect some companies at Farmers House have ‘long meetings’ here on Friday afternoons too; and why not! They also hire the venue out for private functions, and with Kevin running the show you can be assured of a successful party. The food is quite good and prepared in a spotlessly clean open-plan kitchen and the bar can get quite busy. There is loads of safe parking and if you get a hankering, you can always nip up to Bwanji.com to send off a quick email while you’re waiting for your lunch. The décor is modern, but may I just say that the chairs are uncommonly heavy!  A Mosi will set you back a hefty K5,500 and a pasta dish will cost about K40,000 including VAT but rest assured if you’ve forgotten your wallet but remembered your cell phone, they do have Celpay facilities.
