A Fundraising Event With A Difference…….
Children in
Crisis (CIC) and the Hilde Caminer Cheshire Home,
Lusaka
are joining forces to host a fundraising event that will be
different from all the rest.
As Zambia and
Lusaka in particular is home to people from all over the world, CIC
and Hilde Caminer Cheshire Home would like to invite people of all
nationalities to come together for an evening of fun and
entertainment. The Cultural night, as the event has been named will
be held at the Nigerian High Commissioner’s residence on 7th
May, 2004. Plans are already under-way to be certain that the event
is a huge success.
To ensure that
the event takes on a truly cultural theme, traditional dishes from
at least 15 different nations will be available. On the evening,
guests will be encouraged to sample dishes from different countries.
All the recipes from the evening will then be collected and
reproduced in a cookbook. So, if you fancy yourself as a potential
culinary expert, then this is the cook book for you! Entertainment
will be provided in the form of cultural dancing and singing and
guests will be encouraged to wear traditional dress. A raffle will
also be drawn for those feeling lucky!
If you would
like to find out more about the Cultural night, or if you would like
to join the organising committee, please do not hesitate to contact
either CIC or Cheshire Homes. For further details of the event, look
out for future editions of the Lowdown.
