The Ronald Snijders Band

It is nearly the end of April, which means nearly the National Day of the Netherlands, 30 April, which means time for the annual musical event organised by the Netherlands Embassy. This year, the Netherlands Embassy has invited the Ronald Snijders Band.

Ronald Snijders, who has been a professional musician for 30 years, is considered the most swinging flutist in the Netherlands. He has won several awards and seems to have extreme skill and creativity. He plays amongst other things, jazz with a Caribbean flavour.

With his band, Ronald Snijders has performed all over the world : Latin America, West Africa, Europe and the USA.

For their visit to Zambia the band consists of Ronald Snijders – flute and vocal, Robby Alberga – guitar, Robin van Geerke – keyboards, Randy Winterdal – bass and Walter Muringen – drums and vocal.

They will perform twice in Lusaka. On 30 April there will be a Latin American night at the Brown Frog and the next day, 1 May, a jazz lunch concert will be given at Chit Chat Café.

The Embassy is very proud to present this well experienced band.

For more information about the event call 01 253-819 and for more information about the band go to www.ronaldsnijders.nl
