The Mercury Drops

Readers will recall that last month I was having a gripe about Mercury and my lost parcel. A few days after my gripe, the mercury in the thermometer plummeted when I received a call from Mercury to say that there was a parcel waiting. This was said missing parcel, which had arrived safely and in tact.

I have not heard the full story of where or how it was found, or whether it was just by sheer luck or whether it was as a result of some jumping around by Mercury. All I needed to know was that it had arrived. And it has restored my faith in the services which Mercury provides and hope that they continue in this vein, because, as I said last month, it has up until now been a much appreciated service, much needed here where one often needs to get small items here in a hurry and at a reasonable cost at the same time.
